Main Product Introduction
The 380-2700MHz 2-Way Power Splitter is a high-reliability component designed for balanced signal division across a broad frequency range. Unlike reactive splitters, this Wilkinson-style divider incorporates internal resistors that provide high isolation between output ports, making it the preferred choice for combined signal distribution where port independence is critical. It is fully compatible with 380MHz Public Safety bands, making it an essential part of emergency responder radio systems (ERRCS), as well as standard 4G LTE commercial networks. Its compact form factor and N-type interface ensure easy integration into existing equipment racks and DAS head-end units.
Application Scenarios
- Public Safety / TETRA: Splitting signals for emergency communication systems in tunnels, airports, and government buildings.
- 4G LTE Signal Distribution: Reliable 1-to-2 splitting for indoor small cell and repeater deployments.
- RF Laboratory Testing: Used as a precise signal divider for calibrated test benches and receiver sensitivity analysis.
- Signal Sampling: Safely extracting a portion of a signal for real-time monitoring without affecting the primary path.

FAQ
- What is the signal loss for this 2-way split?
- The theoretical split loss is 3.0 dB. When including the insertion loss of the microstrip circuit, the total attenuation per port is typically 3.3 dB to 3.6 dB.
- How does a Wilkinson splitter differ from a Cavity splitter?
- Wilkinson splitters use internal resistors to provide high isolation between ports, which is better for testing and sensitive signal paths. Cavity splitters have no resistors, allowing for higher power handling and slightly lower loss, but they offer very little isolation between output ports.
- Does this splitter support 5G frequencies?
- This model is optimized up to 2700MHz, covering 4G and sub-3GHz 5G bands. For 5G n78 (3.5GHz) or Wi-Fi 6, please check our 300-4000MHz or 600-6000MHz series.
- What happens if I don’t terminate one of the ports?
- MANDATORY: To maintain the 50-ohm impedance and ensure the specified isolation, any unused port must be terminated with a 50-ohm N-type dummy load. Failure to do so will cause high VSWR and signal reflections.
- Can this be used as a signal combiner?
- Yes, it is bi-directional. However, when combining two signals, the internal isolation resistor will dissipate heat if the signals are not in phase. For combining high-power signals, always monitor thermal limits.
